                                                   1. Which door is the safest?


One fine morning, a little girl named Marie finds herself trapped in an old castle. She quickly finds herself in front of four doors, only one of which leads to freedom. As she opens each of the doors, she discovers what each one hides:


The first leads to a ground of molten lava that would immediately melt anything.

The second contains a killer clown who would beat to death anyone in front of him.

The third is in a room so cold that everything freezes there in just a few seconds.

The fourth leads into a room where a policeman would shoot indiscriminately at any man or woman entering it.

The policeman would shoot any man or woman, but Marie is not an adult, she is a girl.

                                                  2. The Eiffel Tower


It seems that Guy de Maupassant hated the Eiffel Tower so much that, every day, he ate lunch in the one place where he was sure he would not see it. What was this place?


He ate in the restaurant on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower.

                                      3. A murder in the sauna


Four friends regularly went to a sauna together, and they always took something with them. Ben, who was a musician, always took an iPod with him to listen to music. Stephan, who was a banker, always carried a thermos with him. Patrick and Mickaël were lawyers, and they always brought documents to read.


One day, Patrick was found dead, visibly killed by a sharp object. The police immediately attended the scene to investigate, but found absolutely nothing.

How could this have happened?

Patrick was murdered by Stephan, who had hidden a very sharp piece of ice in his thermos. The murder weapon therefore had time to melt and disappear before the police arrived.

 

                                                                                 4.An angry wife


Pierre called his wife to tell her he would be home by eight o'clock. He finally arrived at 8:05 am. Although the couple had nothing special to do, his wife was furious at the delay.


Why was she so angry?


When he told his wife he was home at eight o'clock, the latter was thinking of eight in the evening, or 8 p.m., but Pierre did not come back until the next morning, at 8:05 a.m.


                                               5. A fly in the cafe


While Benjamin was sitting at a cafe terrace, he discovered a fly in his cup. He then asked the waitress to bring him another coffee. But after he got a new cup and took a sip of the coffee, he got angry, realizing it was the exact same cup of coffee he sent back.


How did he understand that the waitress had poured him the exact same coffee again?

The second coffee was already sweet, even though Benjamin had put sugar in his "first" cup before he found the fly there.

                                                         6.The broken statuette


While alone at home, John heard something fall in his wife's room. Upon entering the room, he saw that his favorite statuette was broken, and just then someone ran out of the room.


John tried to chase after the intruder, but once on the street, his glasses became cloudy in the cold. Seeing nothing, he must have let the thief go.


John told the story exactly like that to the police, but the agent sent there refused to open the investigation, and advised him to stop lying, and to admit that it was he who had broken the statuette.


Why is John's story wrong?


If John had run down the street chasing the so-called intruder, the lenses of his glasses would not have fogged up, because when a person leaves a warm room and suddenly finds himself in a cold environment, the mist does not form. . It's the change from cold to hot that causes fogging. What happened was that John was afraid to admit to his wife that he had broken her favorite statuette.

 

                                             7. Jamel was murdered


Jamel was found murdered in his mansion bedroom. Her bedroom had no windows, however, and the door was locked. The only four people who had the key to Jamel's room were questioned.


Sophie, the housekeeper, said: “I came to wake up Mr. Jamel, and when I saw he was dead I screamed!”


Jean, the butler, said: “When I heard the scream, I ran into the room, turned on the light, and saw Mr. Jamel with a knife stuck in his throat.”


Sarah, the housekeeper, said: "I ran to Jean, and when he turned on the light, the room was full of blood."


Pierre, the cook, said: "I was making breakfast, and I saw nothing!"


Who is the murderer ?


It's Sophie. If it was dark in the room until Jean turned on the light, there was no way she could have seen Jamel lying there, stiff dead.


                                         8. A very familiar stranger



Steve recently met a stranger he had never seen before. He had only just learned of its existence, but no one had given him a specific description of his appearance. He was not a famous figure either. However, Steve recognized the stranger at first glance.


How is it possible ?

This stranger was the twin brother of a friend of Steve's.


                                                         9. The closed car



A man was found murdered in a car. There was no trace of powder on his clothes, which means the killer was not in the car when he shot him. There were also no bullet holes on the body of the car, and all doors and windows were locked.


How could he have been killed?


The victim was in a convertible. The killer shot him first, then closed the top.


                  10. The key to the treasure


An adventurer discovered a chest containing treasure in a cave guarded by a pirate, who had three keys in his possession: one in gold, one in silver and one in bronze. Only one of them could open the trunk. However, the pirate only left the adventurer with one chance to reach the treasure.
